Fredricka Billups, MA, LAC

 

Fredricka is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) providing therapy to women, adolescents, and children under the supervision of Dr. Anniesha D. Walker. She specializes in the areas of anxiety, grief, and loss while helping individuals learn how to use coping skills to manage life situations.

 

Fredricka incorporates such interventions as Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Brief Focused Therapy (SBFT) which focus on targeting ineffective behaviors, thoughts, and solutions that often accompany anxiety and grief.  

 

Fredricka is passionate about creating a safe space for individuals because she feels each person is important and each person matters. She believes in the acceptance of individuals in a non-judgmental manner and listening with an empathetic ear to assure that individuals feel they are heard and that they matter, an approach enabling them to voice their issues and concerns. 

 

As a “life-long learner,” she continues to enhance her knowledge and skills to provide services with humility, honesty, and respect. Her devotion to helping others is evidenced in her volunteer work as a Disaster Response Crisis Counselor and Suicide Crisis Volunteer by assisting those in vulnerable situations. Fredricka is inspired by her faith and her children. In her spare time, she likes to read, golf, and swim.
